I am Enough.

Can you love me?

Can you make me feel beautiful?

Can you hold me?

Can you cuddle with me?

Can you make me feel worthy, special, wanted and loved?

I want to fall in love.

I want to love & be loved.

blah, blah, blah…

Screw that.

How about every guy I meet is full of crap.

How about no one is really true or worthy.

Everyone  just wants something from me.

They just want to see what’s in it for them.

How about forget falling in love.

How about I love myself & enjoy my life & appreciate myself.

I don’t want the drama and the hassle.

I just want to do me.

I am beautiful.

I am sexy.

I am smart.

I am talented.

I am special.

I don’t need a man to tell me that.

If you want me, run a marathon, swim across the ocean, climb to the top of Mount Everest and bring me the moon while you’re at it.

Because I’ve seen it all and heard it all before.

I’m over this lovey dovey, unicorns, pixie dust, butterflies and rainbows bull shit.

  1. Does it ever get lonely just being alone without being in a relationship? I feel the same way you do as far as someone always wanting something from me but to me, having someone who cares for me makes it feel like I matter.

  2. You are beautiful. When I looked for love. I couldn’t find it. Love found me. Woman are the key. When they need someone. The door is opened. Always a pleasure to read your words.

  3. That is an empowering shift of perspective Do you see how you could do this? By changing the context, the viewing lens through which you saw situations, other folks and your own self.

Sometime back I had also written a post titled, ” I am…” and I believe it might resonate with you and some of your other readers.

  4. Learning to love myself and my life exactly as-is was the greatest lesson in love I ever had. Only when I was so contented with who I was, even knowing that I thought it likely I’d be single forever and was absolutely fine with that idea, did I feel whole. In retrospect, it’s pretty clear to me that that’s why I was ready and able to spot and fall in love with a real, fabulous partner who was in essentially the same place emotionally and personally. *That* un-fancy truth is romance worthy of the name. You are fabulous all by yourself. Really! 🙂

  5. So very to the heart and so very true. Loving ourselves first and nit being fooled by hustlers is how we protect ourselves. Fairy tales never actually have happy endings in the real word. That’s why they are not real. Real live is hard to find, and harder to keep, because live is free, you can’t cage it and if you try, its not live anymore, its just something caught in a trap ., true unconditional live is commitment, sacrafice, honor, trust, failure and triumph, through dedication, by loving and through it. It’s harder to love than to hate, because live attaches ourselves to others and to things even. Hate detatches ourselves from others and things, that’s why anger is part of greiving, so we can let go of what we once may have attached ourselves to. 🙂 love yourself the most , becausr truly our life is the only one we got, the only one we own. I love your writing here, thanks for sharing yourself, its very passionate., most people are out to be loved, to take love from someone else, to get it from someone, a lot of times . They do not know how to give it, for one they think live is just having sex, which is not love, its just sex. Love goes far beyond just our touch…its a feeling that you get even without touch!. 🙂 ❤

  6. Love is highly misunderstood in our consumerism culture. I look lovely sand deserve to be loved and to love the person that understands this. The problem is the massive mainstream definition of love, based on pure horse shit. This leaves us the option to play a long drawn out game looking for the right person or giving up. Don’t give up !! Your essence is love based and you’ll be OK playing this dumb game of life because you know it’s a game. 😉

    • wow, i agree. Thank you so very much. You are very wise. I think the massive mainstream definition for love is “lets see what you got and i’ll trade you what i got.” Not unconditional, honest, i see you as a human being on a sacred journey and i want to use our relationship as a tool to attain the grandest vision of myself & share my completeness with you. The idea of love is misconstrued.

  7. How about i just be your friend and prove my worth? How about i listen to you speak rather that toot my own horn? How about i read u a book, so you can hear my voice and listen to the passion by which i tell the story? Just an idea.. Have a great day!

  8. Way to speak your mind! And I will say don’t hate on love.. “it is better to have loved and loss, than to never have loved at all.” I used to wear my heart on my sleeve, now I’m very guarded with those that come around. One can take caution, but remember to love here and there. Even if it is a friend! 🙂
